Staff Accountant
The Accountant's main responsibility will be to maintain multi-company ledgers, record financial transactions and prepare financial reports. Client ledgers are updated for daily activity, recurring transactions, and investment valuations. Investment partnership transactions represent a significant portion of such activity. A successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Manager of Accounting in the following areas: * Partnership and Investment Accounting. * General ledger maintenance. * Interpretation and processing of financial data. * Preparation of financial and management reports. * Reconciliation of banking transactions. Specific Work Experience and Background Desired * Minimum of 3-6 years general accounting experience. No more than two positions in 6 years. * Strong intellectual, communication and interpersonal skills. * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with minimum cumalative GPA 3.5 as an undergrad. * Proficiency in Excel. * Partnership/Investment accounting experience is beneficial. * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL and FRx Report Writer is desired.
