After on-site training this position has the potential to work a hybrid schedule (a combination of days working from home and days in the office).
Job Summary:
Develop and maintain standard costs and prepare close entries and monthly schedules, general ledger reconciliation, gross margin analysis, and cycle count audit. Work with internal and external auditors during physical inventory and assist with ad-hoc reporting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain cost data for multi-level Bill of Materials (BOMs) in SAP, which includes material, labor and overhead.
Perform standard and extended warranty reconciliation and analysis.
Update budgets in SAP as required.
Work closely with Purchasing to reconcile Price Variances and book entries as required.
Work closely with Operations and Service departments to reconcile and explain various operating variances and book adjusting entries as required.
Team up with Inventory Management for bi-annual physical and reconcile to the books.
Support Operations on management of inventory.
Work with internal and external Auditors for quarterly and annual Auditor's review of schedules prepared and accounts monitored by the cost department.
Prepare various financial reports for management in Excel and BPC financial module on a monthly basis.
Analyze variances on weekly basis.
Audit the cycle count monthly and report the results to management.
Prepare reports on excess and obsolete inventory on a quarterly basis and analyze the data for accuracy.
Participate in special projects as required.
Work with the Finance team as required.
Job Qualifications:
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred, or relevant cost accounting work experience.
A minimum of 3-5 years of cost accounting experience required.
Prior work experience with Standard costing required.
Ability to meet required financial deadlines.
Strong technical skills, including strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, financial formulas, macros, etc.).
Experience working with all levels of management.
SAP experience strongly preferred.
